Do It Anyway: Moving Through Doubt and Staying True to Yourself

At some point, we all meet doubt.
Not the logical kind that helps us double-check our work—but the emotional kind that sits heavy on your chest and whispers,
"Who do you think you are?
”Will anyone care?
”What if they don’t get it?”
If you’ve ever wanted to create something, start something, or simply live in a way that feels more honest to you—you’ve likely heard those voices. I know I have.
Over the years, whether it was choosing to teach in a new way, create online content, or just follow what felt right in my body and heart,
I’ve learned one thing: you have to do it anyway.
Even when it’s scary.
Even when people don’t understand.
Especially when people don’t understand.
Because the world will always have opinions. People will always project their own fears, preferences, and doubts. But only you know what feels true for you. And the truth is: no one else is responsible for living your life but you.
Doubt doesn’t go away by thinking—it softens through doing. By taking the first step. By making the thing. By teaching the class. By sharing your voice even if it shakes.
Every time I chose to do the thing despite the fear—whether it was offering a new class style, filming myself, speaking up, or following a less conventional path—something shifted. The noise got quieter. My trust got stronger.
You don’t need everyone to understand. You don’t need to be perfect. You just need to begin, and keep beginning.
So if you’re waiting for the right time, the perfect confidence, or full approval—let this be your reminder:
You already have permission.
You already have what you need.
Do it your way.
Do it with love.
Do it anyway.
With courage and care,
Elena
