Yoga

Yoga is

A way of life, a holistic approach for body- mind connection and a vast ocean of knowledge of all aspects of life.

A practice of unity.

Yoga is a physical, mental and spiritual practice originated in ancient india.

The word 'yoga' is derived from the sanskrit root 'yuj', meaning 'to join' or 'to yoke' or 'to unite'.

The practice of yoga is to unite the individual consciousness with that of the universal consciousness,

to unite the mind and the body,

to unite man and nature.

There are 8 limbs to the yoga practice-

  • Yamas- social ethics.

  • Niyamas- personal ethics.

  • Asana- physical Postures.

  • Pranayama- breath control.

  • Pratuahara- control of the senses.

  • Dharana- concertation.

  • Dhyana- meditation.

  • Samadhi- union, pure bliss.

For me, yoga is

My home,

My teacher,

My medicine.

I have been practicing Yoga since 2001

and teaching since 2011.

In my classes

In My Classes i am inspired mostly by my late teacher Maty Ezraty that brought together Ashtanga and Vinyasa traditions.

We will mindfully move trough a flow of postures learning about the alignment, breathing patterns and focus.

My classes are usually accompanied by music, Pranayama and meditation.

My goal in all classes is to allow participants to feel better in their body and their day to day life and achieve the "after yoga bliss".

Check out testimonials from my students and witness the inspiring impact of yoga in their own words.

My yoga styles

Mindful Vinyasa

An alignment based flow where we will allow our breath to move us with awerness and percision.

We will incorporate Pranayama and meditation and will use the breath as the connection between the mind and the body.

My practice is inspired by both Ashtanga and Iyengar so at times we will be holding poses longer while focusing on alignment and at other times we will be moving and flowing more rapidly, to generate heat in the body.

The purpose of these classes is to get the body moving with the right form for each individual and work on strength, flexibility, and stamina while moving with awareness and concentration, all while maintaining a curious, playful approach and an open mind

Slow Flow

a connection-focused flow where we will be moving mindfully between and in poses, focusing our attention inward. We will allow our breath to guide us into the movement, throughout the body, and then into our mind, attempting to establish a meditative flow. We will incorporate restorative postures preparing us for deeper Pranayama and relaxation.

The purpose of this class is to dive deep into oneself, move gently, release tension, relaxing profoundly and completely, leaving you with a calm mind and body, with tranquility and awareness.

Yoga Therapy

Although all yoga is a potentially therapeutic practice, yoga therapy is an application of the yogic methods and principals to address specific mental, physical and emotional needs.

We will be incorporating asana, pranayama and meditation and also kinesiology, strength and flexibility training and conversations to create a transformation.

A yoga therapy session is a personal experience, is a safe space to let what is to be present. Approaching whatever comes with openness, awareness and a holistic point of view.

The goal is to feel good in our body and mind and improve to quality of ones life.
